Heart Rest ~ Deep Relaxation

 Heart Rest ~ Deep Relaxation

The ancient yogis tell us that half an hour of deep relaxation is the equivalent of 2 hours deep sleep. Making deep relaxation a regular part of life can support healing and vitality on every level. Heart Rest can be especially helpful after lunch to support healthy digestion and helping us feel gently energised through the rest of the day.

These guided relaxations are especially healing because they help to nurture and awaken the heart centre - what many traditions tell us is the seat of consciousness or the home of the soul. Heart Rest is a form of Heart Practice - one you can enjoy lying down!

When you are ready to practice Heart Rest, please find a nice comfortable place to lie down where you won't be disturbed. You might like to create a nice 'nest' for yourself with something soft under the body, a nice pillow under the head, maybe another under the knees and a even a soft blanket under the heels. You will probably also want a warm blanket over the body to keep nice and cosy.

This deep and profound relaxation experience is a wonderful way to let go of the stresses and strains of daily life.

We also have some Heart Rest recordings available in our online shop. All proceeds go directly to support our charity work in Sri Lanka, Brasil, India, the UK and the USA.
