Sustainable Energy for Indigenous School in Manaus

The Indigenous School in Manuas, Brasil has recently installed solar panels thanks to supporters of the Heart Of Living Yoga Foundation. Manaus is located in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest in Brasil and hosts a vibrant cultural life, exampled by our school community which includes different tribes with 37 different languages!

The Indigenous School was founded by the inspirational Claudia Baré who holds a masters degree in education which enables her to deliver the regular school curriculum as well as giving the children space to learn about their own indigenous herbal medicine, arts and culture. Thanks to your support, the school can now generate its own power, saving money to be put towards other projects, ensuring electricity is available in the event of power outages as well as helping global warming.
